Getting started

Use the SSA Ontology when you need a stable public identifier and definition for an SSA concept—in writing, research, software, AI systems, policy analysis, or evidence records.

For people

1. Find a concept

Search the concept index or browse a concept scheme.

2. Link the concept

Use the canonical page URL rather than copying an untraceable definition.

3. Attribute the source

Cite the SSA Ontology, version number, concept name, and canonical URI.

For software and AI systems

Each concept page contains a Schema.org DefinedTerm JSON-LD object. A system can identify a concept using its canonical URI:

The ontology remains deliberately small and testable in v0.1.0. Hierarchical and causal assertions should only be added when there is enough evidence to govern them responsibly.
