About McLoughlin.world

Knowledge should be public, permanent and usable.

McLoughlin.world is an open publishing platform for research, semantic infrastructure and practical knowledge concerned with inclusion, capability and intelligent organisations.

Why this website exists

Important knowledge is often trapped inside reports, PDFs, organisational systems and downloadable archives. That makes it harder to discover, cite, connect, test and reuse.

McLoughlin.world publishes substantive work directly on the web, at stable URLs, so people can read it and retrieval-enabled systems can reference it. Machine-readable representations are published alongside the human-readable pages so the same knowledge can also be integrated into software, datasets and AI systems.

Publishing principles

Permanent knowledge

Everything important should exist as a permanent, citable webpage.

Machine operability

Every webpage should also have a machine-readable representation of the same resource.

Full public content

The actual document, glossary or definition belongs on the webpage—not only inside a download.

Stable references

Publications use durable URLs, explicit versions, provenance and visible change histories.

Open infrastructure

Knowledge is published under open licences wherever possible so others can inspect, reuse and build upon it.

Evidence-aware evolution

Definitions and theories can change in response to evidence without erasing their earlier forms.

What is published here

  • Glossaries that name recurring patterns of inclusion, exclusion, institutional behaviour and lived experience.
  • Individual concept pages with stable identities and human-readable definitions.
  • The SSA Ontology as a versioned semantic dataset.
  • Research and theory concerning capability, organisation and intelligent systems.
  • Documentation and releases that make changes, provenance and machine representations inspectable.

The SSA Ontology

The SSA Ontology is the first major semantic publication on McLoughlin.world. It provides an open, versioned representation of concepts developed through lived experience, systems analysis and strategic self-advocacy.

Authorship and stewardship

McLoughlin.world is created and stewarded by Sarah Ailish McLoughlin. The work brings together lived experience, systems thinking, semantic modelling, research and practical design.

Open publication does not mean ungoverned publication. Attribution, provenance, stable identifiers and visible versioning are treated as part of the infrastructure itself.

Canonical publication

The website is the public knowledge surface. Downloads are release artefacts, not substitutes for the full publications.
